Eutectic Plate Freezer – Defrosting, Cleaning, Maintenance and Cautions:

 

Defrosting Instructions:

In normal usage of “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer, weekly defrosting should be provided. Additional defrosting should be taken in the case of more than 5 mm. thickness of frost (ice layer). Easily follow the steps below for defrosting the PKI products.

1. Disconnect the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer cabinet plug and open the cabinet door.
2. Empty out all of the eutectic packs (ice jell packs) and eutectic trays.
3. Defrost inside the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer cabinet with electrical blower.
4. Wipe the evaporator trays and inside the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer cabinet with clean cloth.
5. Connect the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer cabinet plug for re-operation.

 

Cleaning and Maintenance:

1. Remove power plug or disconnect from the mains before performing any maintenance or servicing the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer.
2. Never use detergent or chemicals harmful to clean the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer cabinet.
3. Do not directly spray water on the surface of the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer.
4. Wipe the front and back of the cabinet with water-soaked soft cloth.
5. If dust of other exterior substance has accumulated on the condenser, wipe off with water-soaked soft cloth.
6. After cleaning the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer, completely dry it. Always check and ensure that air flow through the condenser coil is not blocked by any dirt or other undesirable materials sticking on the condenser coil, then connect the electric power plug.
7. If power supply cord on this device is damaged, it must be replaced with a special power supply cord that is obtainable at service center of our company.

 

Cautions:

1. Avoid cleaning the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer cabinet with water, especially onto electrical components. Water does contribute damage to the cabinet and electronics temperature controller.
2. At any opening and closing the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer cabinet door, should keep 5-minutes intermission for re-opening. High amount of pressure difference owing to the cabinet operating temperature (-40 degree Celsius) make the cabinet door cannot be opened immediately. Forced opening does break the door handle, and this type of damage is not involved in cabinet guarantee.
3. If you have any problem with the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer cabinet, call our customer service section. Adjustment, modification, or repair to any cabinet’s equipment by unauthorized people will immediately terminate the “PKI” Eutectic Plate Freezer cabinet guarantee.
