1. Put the Refrigerator/Freezer on the right place. Placing the Refrigerator/Freezer incorrectly is one of the reasons that shortens the refrigerator. The refrigerator should be placed in a well-ventilated area, keeping the heat sink behind the refrigerator at least 15 cm. away from the lid. Don’t place refrigerator close to door or window curtain which will cause poor ventilation, then the compressor of the refrigerator will work hard and always keep running. Do not place the refrigerator near the source of heat, such as rice cooker, gas stove or near wet areas. The base of the refrigerator must be strong and stable. When we’re opening or closing the door, the refrigerator must not be too sluggish or bumpy.
2. Prepare electricity and power correctly. Although the refrigerator is currently designed for use with 220 volts of electricity in general, there are still some refrigerators that use 100 volts of electricity. When buying for the first time, be careful to prepare the correct voltage according to the designed refrigerator which may use a voltage converter. Plugs should be higher than 1.25 meters to protect your child who should bring something else to the punch which would be life threatening and the plug should be able to resist electricity at least 250 – 300 watts.
3. If unplugging, wait 3 – 4 minutes before plugging again. In the event of a power cable disconnecting from the outlet while the refrigerator is running or electric power failure, we should wait for 3 – 4 minutes. Do not plug it back immediately. Because the compressor Freon gas in the compressor may remain in the compression stroke and because the Freon gas has a lot of pressure,
if the electricity is supplied to the refrigerator immediately, it will cause a strong shock between gas Freon which will cause damage to the refrigerator.
4. Check the door of the refrigerator completely. If the refrigerator door do not close completely, it will be one of the reasons that consumes electricity. Experiment by bringing a thin sheet of paper to insert and then pull out the paper. If it can be pulling out smoothly, it shows that the refrigerator door is not completely closed or sealed, it must be fixed by changing the door gasket to ensure it will be completely sealed.
5. Always clean the heat sink/Condenser Coil. It is a metal panel behind the refrigerator which must always be cleaned to allow cooling system will be operated well. Do not let dirt or dust get thick that will also waste electricity.
6. Do not overload the merchandise inside the cabinet. Because it will make the air flow inside the cabinet inconvenient and overload items will not cool thoroughly. Only items near cooling fan or freezer compartment shall be cooled. Automatic temperature control system will not cut the circuit and keep the machine running all the time and cause electricity waste
7. Reduce or increase the temperature of the refrigerator to suit the food that is being stored inside.
8. Do not allow a thick ice layer inside the freezer compartment. We should keep defrosting frequently.
9. Do not open and close the refrigerator frequently. When opening the refrigerator one time, the cooling inside the cabinet will spread out. The hot weather outside will be replaced making the machine work harder. Once it is opened, we must hurry up to close it immediately.
10. Adjust the suitable floor level. When setting the refrigerator, adjust the front level of the refrigerator slightly higher than the back. In order to open the weight of the refrigerator door, it will block the door from closing itself.
11. Do not bring hot items into the cabinet. If bringing a hot item to the refrigerator, it will cause the refrigerator to work harder because the temperature must be cooled down to cool that hot item. The more hot, the more work of compressor. It should be left to normal temperature first.
