Eutectic Plate Freezer (Deep Freezer or Contact Plate Freezer) works by using metal plates called “plates” that have a very low temperature control. The products that need to be frozen are placed between these plates. And the very low temperature will cause the products to be frozen quickly. This type of freezing is called “contact freezing” because the products are in direct contact with the plates. The temperature of the products drops quickly and evenly. In normal operation, it needs to defrost to eliminate the ice layers, cleaning, maintenance and also the importation cautions.

Defrosting Instructions:
In normal usage of “PKI” Eutectic Deep Freezer (Plate Freezer, Contact Plate Freezer, Cold Plate) weekly defrosting should be provided. Additional defrosting should be
taken in the case of more than 5 mm. thickness of frost (ice layer). Easily follow the steps below for defrosting the PKI products.
- Disconnect the “PKI” Eutectic Deep Freezer (Plate Freezer, Contact Plate Freezer, Cold Plate) cabinet plug and open the cabinet door.
- Empty out all of the eutectic packs (ice jell packs) and eutectic trays.
- Defrost inside the “PKI” Eutectic Deep Freezer (Plate Freezer, Contact Plate Freezer, Cold Plate) cabinet with electrical blower.
- Wipe the evaporator trays and inside the “PKI” Eutectic Deep Freezer (Plate Freezer, Contact Plate Freezer, Cold Plate) cabinet with clean cloth.
- Connect the “PKI” Eutectic Deep Freezer (Plate Freezer, Contact Plate Freezer, Cold Plate) cabinet plug for re-operation.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Remove power plug or disconnect from the mains before performing any maintenance or servicing the “PKI” Eutectic Deep Freezer (Plate Freezer, Contact Plate Freezer, Cold Plate).
- Never use detergent or chemicals harmful to clean the “PKI” Eutectic Deep Freezer (Plate Freezer, Contact Plate Freezer, Cold Plate) cabinet.

Always check and ensure that air flow through the condenser coil is not blocked by any dirt or other undesirable materials sticking on the condenser coil, then connect the electric power plug.
- If power supply cord on this device is damaged, it must be replaced with a special power supply cord that is obtainable at service center of our company.
Cautions:
- Avoid cleaning the “PKI” Eutectic Deep Freezer (Plate Freezer, Contact Plate Freezer, Cold Plate) cabinet with water, especially onto electrical components. Water does contribute damage to the cabinet and electronics temperature controller.
